What is an extra wide saddle in inches D ring to D ring??

May have decided to swap the Pessoa for a Jeffries Falcon Hawk Event but not cant find what the D to D in " is

My current one is 9" D-D but might be too narrow

You can't measure a saddle that way. The points have to be parallel with the shoulder in order not to create pressure points. Depending on the shape of the gullet, saddles with hugely differing fit will have the same measurement D to D

my cobs saddle measures 11 inchs d to d ring..

Cptrayes - yes I know saddle will be properly fitted he had a falcon hawk event tried on him and it was 10" d to d but not sure what width that was classed as
