What is causing this?

Yesterday pm, my boy came galloping for his tea, when he came back to trot he was showing up lame. All I caould see was some blood spots on his near fore.

This morning he was very lame and a load more blood so, cleaned him up, applied sudacrem, and as he went back to the field, the blood was back.

There is nothing obvious where it could be coming from?, I thought perhaps he had taken the scabs off from his mud fever, but his leg are all but damn it clean...

The blood is literally coming from what appears to be pin pricks, I am at a loss.

Could it be infected? I'd get vet to check it out if there is nothing else obvious to you

Any hedgerows with brambles etc he could be sticking his front legs in whilst doing a spot of foraging?

I also thought this, YES, there is,, but I would think that there would be evidence on his face!!!!!
