what is drug therapy? please help!

Ok wondered if anyone can help, i'm looking fro some information on drug therapy in horses for college and cannot find anything on the net about it. I need a basic description of what it is and common drugs used and what used for?
Does anyone know the answers or know a website that has some info?

drug therapy is therapy using drugs surely?

eg bute (painkiller and anti-inflam) for pain and swelling!

There are loads of types of drugs for horses given for a multitude of reasons, for example, antibiotics for infection, analgesics for pain relief, anti inflammatory drugs to reduce inflammation, then things like drugs to treat various conditions like fungicidal drugs for coat conditions, anti seizure drugs for say epeleptic fits, anti cancer drugs, drugs for prevention, i.e vacinnations. I would interpret drug therapy to mean routinely administering drugs to help cure, or reduce symptoms exhibited by an animal who is suffering from an illness, disease or as a result of an accident.
