What is everybody using to illuminate their dogs?

Oh, yes....Im liking those glow sticks, Im sure dax had one on at the hho BBq?
The glow bracelets are like the halos, I wonder how well they stay on?
Hmmm, decisions, decisions:D

They stay on pretty well for us. Even in all the rough and tumble at the dog park.

I've had one pack that wasn't as good but i just put a tiny but of electrical tape around the join.

collars with led lights in them. I had the clip ons with flashing lights but the dogs kept managing to break those. I also have one hi viz dog coat and am looking to get 2 more for the other dogs!

Last year I was using a blue flashing light attached to her collar, but it was a little bit too dangly, so this year I got a flashing and reflective collar from Countrywide, it was in a sale which was strange as its coming up to winter when we need them. Was tempted to get a few and sell them when I'm out walking her as people ask me where I got it from. Its black with silver reflective stuff with about 6 red led's which flash its really good, paid £3.99 think normal price was about £6

Aldi & Lidl both do cyclists arm/ leg bands for £5 a pack of four.
They have elastic and velcro and one will fit a Lab's neck - you can use two or add a piece of velcro to fit a mastiff.
They are reflective yellow with red lights that can be set to flash, stay on or be off.
They last ages and I use them on dogs, horse & on me -and also on Mum's wheelchair.

Dylan prefers not to be illuminated - it hinders his ninja style antics. How can he sneak up on other people's unsuspecting glow sticks at BBQs (then do his infamous pick up & walk off like you're doing nothing wrong) if he's lit up like a christmas tree??

Sorry about that BlackCob. I'd like to be able to say "he's never done anything like that before", but I'd be lying.

Actually I have a few of those flashing lights which clip onto their collars, but I rarely use them. I'm lucky enough not to have to work, so I do our walking in daylight hours. During the hours of darkness they tend to be asleep on the sofa & only pop out to do their business or to do the evening boundary check. Both times they tend not to wander too far & come when called. However, as the puppy gets bigger he may well use this time to go hunting rats/foxes etc so I may need a rethink! Can't use a collar on him at the moment as Dylan uses this as a handle to pick him up & carry him around :-(

I don't think I've ever snatched anything off a dog as quick as I did that night - can you imagine if he'd bitten it?!

(Actually I can - MM's neighbours would be terrified by tales of the great black beast with luminous dripping jaws. :D)

LOL do you realise that directly below this thread is one with the title "Bitches burn", one way to illuminate them I spose!

Don't know about great black beasts, my neighbours are currently terrorised (or at least deafened) by a tiny black beast with a voice like a banshee!

We use a little blue and red flashing light that clips on her coller, Neighbours love it but when she turns her back and puts her head down to sniff, she dissapears

we use a blinky!! its a little blue, red and white flashing light which attaches to her collar! im on the hunt for a high viz type thingy too but dont want anything fitted as she'll grow out of it!! she's white though and is never off the lead yet xx
