This is probably nothing however my mare who is currently in season has started to do a "hop" whilst in trot. It is only occassional however, initially I thought she wanted to put herself into a canter however, over the past couple of days it has become worse (no to a point of OMG but bad enough for me to become aware something isn't right).

I can find no signs of swelling in her legs and can only assume it is soreness from being in season?

I've summoned the osteopath but am just curious to see whether anyone else has had this or might be able to suggest where else to look?

BTW she walks and canters fine. Thanks in advance

Yup - mine does it also- but only in corners in the school, TBH I thought it was her anticipating being asked to canter and doing a little hoppity-skip one legged canter stride before realising that no, carry on trotting! Person who had her before us only asked her to canter in corners, hence this little trick , but hey, at least she strikes off on the correct leg every time...
