What do you call a lead rope with the chain section near the clip? Just been on Ebay, put leadrope with chain and 2 come up. Do they have a proper name?
I want to try one as Im sick of my horse going through lead ropes by grabbing it and sort of squeaking it between his teeth. They are lasting weeks
Tried to stop him but he's obsessed!

Not bothered really but I think cotton or whatever normal leadropes are made of would be more practical for every day use

Not a newmarket chain. Practical suggestion louby ,go to a boat chandlers and get some chain and bits to make your own patented anti horse chain.Bob the (not a)cob was horrified when I replaced his door chain with anchor chain.

Nope ,he just walked through it a bit harder "bless him". I had shouted at him and he said the relationship was over,and marched off into the snow heading south.I had to flounder through two feet of snow for a quater of a mile before he relented!

Maybe a QE2 size anchor chain will do the job
Im hoping this chain will stop Jay walking into the back of me at the gate, he starts 'squeaking' the rope and is on another planet. I stop and he carries on, then looks at me all shocked
