Back at the beginning of the season I won a Dressage to Music comp and I came on here to tell everyone and I was informed that I was now officially a Dressage Diva!
Bling? Matching bandages/saddlecloths/jackets? Konig boots? An obsession with anything from Classic Dressage/Inchs/Cool Equestrian? A wardrobe full of Pikeur, Kyra K and Anky

Oh dear, this sounds way too familiar

Oh bum, I don't have any of the above. However I do drool at the stuff in Classical Dressage/Inches etc. I just can't afford it all.
Do I now have to give up my Dressage Diva status?
I also thought a hair scrunchie was obligatory for the Dressage Divas? Also, for winter, fleecy headbands to show off that immaculately highlighted hair (rather than an unsightly beanie or bobble hat)

Oh dear that's me!!! But I don't own sheep skin over reach boots so I think I'm safe
A large entarage (sp) is also very important - someone to whip off the bandages, some to give the Konigs one last polish before you go it - and someone holding the test sheet so you can have one last look. Not forgetting the guy with the video camara. And lastly at this time of year some one to take the Thermatex exercise sheet (in your colours) off just before you go in and throw straight back on when you come out again!!!
I thought it was looking at the reflection of you and your horse in the mirror all the time dharlings??? If that is the case I'm a dressage diva without doing dressage because I use peoples windows to see our reflection!!!!!! My OH also says I'm a dressage diva because I have to be in an outline when anyone can see us!!! I do doubt his view on this as when riding through the village I rarely have two hands on the reins as have to say thank you to so many blinking cars!!!!!!!!!!
also, when you think it is fine to spend £400 on a made-to-order Otto Schumacher bridle with rolled leather for competitions but end up wearing it for day-to-day riding because 'my horse looks so stunning' it in lol (not guilty....honest) lol
when people ask what you want for christmas and you get up the websites listed above and explain that yes you really do need those high waisted breeches you already own but in a different colour as they would match your new Kyra-K jacket really nicely
I didn't think I'd ever think about being a DD but I did my first dressage (see, not even calling it stressage now) last month and instead of vowing never to go back I've decided that it's def good for my showjumping so going back next week, and entered for next month, and promised myself and my jumping coach's wife (herself a former DD) that if I qualify for the Rowallan Scottish Farmer finals I'm going to buy white bandages - eek will be buying bling before I know it! I swear it's the terrifyingly expensive saddle that I ride in that makes me want to be a bona fide DD...
