This may seem like a stupid question, but
1. What do you get for assisted DIY?
2. What do you get included in part livery?
3. What do you get included in full livery?

I know it varies from yard to yard, but just wondering generally!

Assisted DIY would probably include feeding and help with turning out/bringing in.

Part livery includes mucking out, turning out/bringing in, feeding and possibly changing of rugs. The riding is left to you.

Ful livery usually includes exercising but number of times and to what level depends on yard. Tack cleaning, hay and hard feed are normally included.

This is only a rough idea and you generally get what you pay for but some yards offer more for your money than others.

I pay £25 wk DIY with indoor and outdoor school, 2x post and rail paddocks, horsewalker, storage, secure tack room and trailer parking. A bargin!! Hay is £2 bale and if you need help with bringing inetc it is £1.

I am on assisted DIY and it includes morning feed, turnout or bring in in the morning and all hay, stable and grazing.

Part livery is usually muckout, turnout and bring in, so all you need to do is turn up and ride.

Full livery includes the same as part but they will ride as well.

Thanks

I'm on part livery - they change rugs in the morning, feed (made in advance by me), put up a haynet (left by me), turnout and bring in. It includes haylage but that's it.

I have to muck out, change rugs when she comes back in, prepare & pay for feed, ride, hold for farrier etc otherwise it's all extra. Even leg washing isn't included.

Full livery includes mucking out, 1 bale shavings a week and hard feed plus no charges for holding for farrier. It's a cunning attempt to price us all out of part livery and into full livery!
