We are mid debate this morning - all because we had to ask somebody to leave our yard. Opinion is split between 'get rid asap' and 'sort them out'. I chose the former based on the following:
Owner refuses to feed adequate amounts - horse has lost a lot of weight
Leaves animal for 14 hours plus, with no hay
Lied about worming - they had not wormed for 8 months and refused to worm count
Insist that horse only needs to see the farrier once or twice a year - because it wears feet down on the roads (?)
Changed fields without seeking permission - very stupidly turned out with a known bully and lucky to get away with it.
No poo picking for 6 months....... we only ask that it is done at least once a week.
Argued that main gates don't need to be kept closed - 'people' should made sure that their horses don't get loose (one of my favourites!!)
And i could go on, so am I too fussy or should I have continued to bang m head on a brick wall? We have all tried to help but the thank you's never come and the ears are firmly closed.
But am I depressed - no, not really as the grass is beginning to grow and the other horses all look super!
