Hi Everyone,
I was wondering what experiences people have had with joint supplements that are on the market at the moment.
I am currently looking for a product at the moment for my 14 year old British Warmblood, who has started to have clicky joints in mornings after being in stable.
Any suggestions or reports would be greatly appreciated as haven't had to use these supplements for a very LONG time!

I think I've tried the majority of supplements on the market. The ONLY on that I rate, is Aviform Suppleaze Gold. My vet was out last week to my horse and I showed him the ingredients on the tub and he was really impressed. He said that there are two types of glucosamine and one of the things to check for is that it is Glucosamine hcl (I can't remember what he said the other one was called) - you also need to check the level of the ingredients and it's good to have something which contains hyaluronic acid as this lubricates the joints. Good luck!

I use Synequin. It is stupidly expensive (£1.80 per day) but at the moment insurance is paying and my vet said it's the best one. When my insurance runs out I will probably have a rethink though.

Synequin or seraquin (not sure if thats only canine use but the glucosamine in it has better bioavailability than the normal stuff or human grade stuff. Also has tumeric extract in it and if you google/research turmeric, scientists are raving about t. A friend (on here) says it has totally alleviated arthritic symptoms in hee elderly mare. A girl at the yard has just put her two on it.

I've just got green lipped mussel extract For the dog-apparently one of the best things you can get.

I used Devils Claw but never rated it.

Fr any supplement, be patient and give it a chance to kick in.
