Hello,

Own a dressage horse?

My name is Nichola and I'm a final year equine degree student carrying out a research dissertation into the current care, training and nutritional management of dressage horses. It is hoped that by collecting a wide range of data, areas of weakness in the dressage industry can be identified and lead to future research and hopefully advancements in the UK dressage industry.

Should you own a dressage horse, it would be very much appreciated if you could spare ten minutes to complete my online questionnaire (all data remains anonymous). Your information and feedback is very much appreciated and hopefully together we can further improve our dressage industry! (if you own multiple horses, please only complete the survey for one horse).

Thank you so much!

Done.

I answered no to question 8 ('Do you feed hard feed, straights etc.?'), but had to give an answer to 9 ('How often do you feed hard feed?') so I put once a day - would it be difficult to add a 'n/a' box?

Thank you to everyone who has participated in this study! It is very much appreciated if everyone could take ten minutes to take part in the study, together we can help highlight areas for improvement for our dressage industry! :)

Thank you so much to all of you that have participated and taken ten minutes to complete the survey! I hope I can encourage more of you to take part and help further research into improving and developing our dressage industry!

Please pass on to friends and spread the word,

Thanks everyone! :)
Regards,
Nichola

Thank you so much :) and agreed, is long, but all important information for the research! Thanks again for taking part, very much appreciated :)

Done. I'm curious how the questionnaire will answer your question, because I can't see any way that you are measuring the effectiveness of my training, care and feed regime? It would be interesting to see a correlation between, say, hours of work per week or what you feed and percentages gained in competition.

Thank you so much :) The aim of the study is to measure how regimes have changed since previous research was carried out many years ago. There is lots of this type of research in eventing and show jumping but not so much in dressage. Correlations will be measured and any gaps in effectiveness of say feed manufacturer advice can be highlighted :)
Thank you so much for your feedback, much appreciated! :)

I also couldn't see how you are measuring my effectiveness of training, care or feeding of my horse just where I look for advice or knowledge but not it's effectiveness.
