As Kerilli says Fallabella's are more refined in stature than mini shetties. Although they are small they are still hardwork and do require a fair bit of hard work to look after, especially when it come to there diets!!!

Inky is a miniature horse ( similar stature to fallabella ) Ty is a mini shettie. Some pics to show you the difference.

oh i want Ty!!! i went to a local horse sale today, and there was a dodgy bloke from bodmin moor selling ''reg'' minis but coincidently he left reg papers at home!! anyway he had 4, he dragged them out of the cattle trailer and tied them up, there was 2 coloureds, a chesnut and a dark bay, they were only born in JUNE, he wanted £280 each for the coloureds and £150 each for the plain colours, there was local skanks AKA travellers parked next to his box and they bought the 2 coloureds. bearing in mind these poor little things were scared stiff and wild, they wouldn't load in to the other trailer so the son of the skank was kicking these poor little things to get them in the trailer, i could have cried, FFS he could of picked them up and carried them in!
all of them had green tags in their ears, i think he went out on to the moors the night before and herded a few in to his trailer, oh god the more i think of those 2 poor coloureds going to those horrible nasty men makes me feel awful. i just hope the other 2 didnt go to the same place.

Oh No - was it the Joe Moyle sale today? Damn, we missed it, we had carriages out on hire. Actually, I hate the place, because of the things like you saw.

How much would you pay for a mini shettie? My friend has a gelding, she was thinking of selling him. Broke for the cart and driving. Think hes 7 years old, gray with dapple markings on the legs.

A Falabella is a mini horse - much finer than a Shetland.
Here are my two - Charlie on the left is a Falabella x Shetland 8 hands, Flint is a 9 hh Shettie.

yes it was joe moyle sale, there wasn't as many un-looked after horses this year as previous years, there was more private sellers thank god,
i would rather buy one from a sale as it would be ''rescuing'' one if you see what i mean!!

those 2 are gorgeous!!!
