Article in the Fenland Citizen newspaper today that a horse spooked whilst being ridden along the road, threw off his rider and galloped blind into a river.
Whilst local horsey folk and the emergency services were trying to get the horse out of the river people brought their SMALL CHILDREN out of their houses TO WATCH

Unfortunately, although the resue party managed to finally drag the horse up the river bank he broke his leg and had to be destroyed by a vet straight away.
Apparently the rescue was hindered by these idiots lining the river bank having a good look with their kids.
Sick b***ards

It doesn't matter what it is, people always want to watch.
A few years ago my OH fell off at a show and needed the spinal board and ambulance etc, while they were sorting it people moved some of the bales so that they could sit and watch - Sick indeed (even though they got some of my mind while we were waiting)

Look at the number of people who slow down to have a good gander at accidents on the roads (and cause more as a result). The human race!!

I agree with this, is was because of people like this that caused us to crash on the M1, everyone in front braking hard, so we broke and got hit from the back!

It is true though that people do watch things that really shouldn't be watched. I think in a way its human nature....ok that sounds odd, but when someone says to you don't look what is the first thing you do?? You look!

RIP horsey

*shakes head* unbelievable. I could no more and stand by watching other people be injured/struggle.

About 8 months ago I was on my way to the yard about 6.00 am on a Sunday morning when I was flagged down by a man attending to a over turned car. It was horrendoues. Young girl flipped her car over. This bloke who flagged me down turned out to be a off duty Policeman - and you know what - he said he had tried to flag about 5-6 other cars down and NO ONE had stopped to assist him - wtf!

The girl was drifting in and out of conciousness and responded to me, andother female voice, thankfully. This was really scary - but again, on one else stopped to help us and emergency crews came about 5 mins later.

Loads of rubber neckers though!
