Doesn't matter how naughty and sugary it is. I want a bucket feed that is so delicious that BH will stick his head down to eat rather than screaming at Nitty. What can I feed that is irresistible to a horse who very rarely gets any hard feed at all?

Molasses for mine, and anything with oats in. Actually mine eats anything, that's just what tempted her when ill. Sugary cereal bars broken up do just as well mixed in with treacle.

Now that really is naughty. I'm sure BH would be ecstatic if I put a bucket of molasses down for him! Or even mix covered in molasses. Both mine love sugary stuff as they just don't get it on a day to day basis. They're like kidies in a candy shop and will do anything for a polo. :D

My mega picky,fussy,leaves-most -feed absolutely adores spillers conditioning fibre, has also developed a recent liking for some badminton high fibre nuggetty things, the nuggets are huge things but smell all lovely & herby & he wolfs them down.

The horses at our yard LOVE the molasses lick things... Meant to be trickle feed type blocks that you can leave in the field? But have never left one out as they fight over it! Be prepared for black/orange nose and lips though, that stuff gets everywhere!!

As suggested by the highly respected Forage Plus the spice Fenugreek, they love it, I now buy it in huge quantities from the local market, together with dried mint and aniseed for a change!

(I mean Fenugreek sprinkled over whatever it is you want your horse to eat, not just on its own!!)
