What is the rationale behind this saddle?

This looks like a nice jumping saddle from ideal. However the description is somewhat limited. It just looks like a nice secure saddle that's not too forward cut. I don't like jumping with me ankles round my earholes. Also the seat looks quite deep. I'd jump in a dressage saddle if I had my own way :p

Anyhow hopefully someone can explain what the whole lightweight middleweight thing is all about??
 
I can't explain the lightweight middleweight thing seems a contradiction to me.
Unless they mean a light saddle for a middleweight horse?
However many years ago I looked after a big strong middle wieght hunter who had a saddle with pennwood stamped on it it looked just like the one in the picture it was a lovely comfortable saddle and super to jump in.
 
Maybe the original model weighed less? They've used the same style and now made a more substantial version. Really like the deep seat though.

I had a "Pennwood" saddle years ago and it was lovely and comfortable.
