Hi All

What are these little white things I am finding in the middle of the droppings? I thought they were the seeds from the tall grasses but they have eaten a lot of the grass down. The horses were wormed on the 5th of December.

Any ideas appreciated! Thank you :)

They look buggy to me, weird though. Sorry I can't be more of a help, maybe eggs of some sort? Has you horse *ahem* pooped them out?

I'm lucky as in the fields I rent is just me so I know they're from my horse :) They do look like eggs or something but not really sure, just keep seeing them :(

Yes we also poo pick twice a day and it's just my 3 horses on the land and as I say they have all been wormed recently. Heres another pick, can't see many of them in the picture but the little egg type things are on the top right:

horse tapeworm segments would be much larger than the small things pictures (that would be about the right size that come out of my cat ;) )

They look like fly eggs to me.... added post dropping so nothing to worry about :) you can't see worm eggs ;)

PHEW! I really hope it is this, I keep finding them in the middle of the droppings. I do see an odd worm in one of my horses droppings, but he has pin worm (him and him alone and nothing gets rid of it!). I have been panicking though. I didn't know flys were around now? I guess it still has been warm-ish

again PHEW and glad to hear that as I just googled tapeworm and it made me feel a bit itchy! They are tiny and do kind of look like seed things I guess, very small

Yep when mine had tapeworm segments they were ie 1-2 inches flat like pasta! Gross.

It does look a bit like pasta now you say it! Ours def too small for pasta. Glad you clever people have a solution and I'm glad it's nothing to worry about. Thank you :)

So surprised flies are still around but it is humid for the end if December hey
