I put my mare in foal a year ago and a few weeks into her pregnancy I noticed this lump on her udder. I kept an eye on it but it has never changed, however I have felt it again recently and it feels as though a much smaller second lump is developing next to it. The lump feels hard and smooth and perfectly round like a golf ball in her skin that moves. Not cauliflowered or uneven. Its not ulcerated or bleeding but there is a patch of skin around the lump that is a bit flaky. I know you're all going to tell me its a dreaded sarcoid! If that's the case then how do I treat it? Will it affect selling her? Is there anything else it might be?
