(sorry if you were expecting a Parelli post
)
As the year comes to a close, I need to take down the 2009 wallplanner in my tack room to replace it with the 2010 one
In my infinite wisdow I decided I would use it to record all my riding. The plan was that it would help with tracking progress for competitions, fitness etc.
Didn't quite work like that
. I suspect if I added it up, I might have about 60 notes on the wall
. And that's between 2 horses ..... so umm less than 10% riding return this year
One was off for about 6 months with a hoof crack, the other the same length of time with a splint. Then there was the month I was off with a kicked knee, some holidays (mine); The snow, the howling gales, the pulled shoes, the broken down cars, the late nights at work, the dark nights, and quite a few days where I just thought "sod it".
This wasn't really meant to be a moan! But safe to say, I won't work out the cost-per-ride for 2009. So my very first resolution for 2010 will be to ride in January - that'll beat my 2009 record by 2 months
so all I need is the snow to melt
