Hi,

Was having a look at the £1000 and under page (as am always toying with the idea of getting another) and came across this ad;

http://www.horseandhound.co.uk/classifieds/details.aspx?pu=BPmXvHOJFapxpHa6zlSgMw&cu=975&kw=Pictures Bringing Mare back into work after foal&ca=&st=&at=3&ag=975*8075694*HHO:283851&pg=1&si=CAT*1**0&sr=h&cr=2&kwe=Pictures Bringing Mare back into work after foal&ref=http%3a%2f%2fwww.horseandhound.co.uk%2fforums%2fforumdisplay.php_f2_f=79_f1_order=desc_f1_page=2&cc=1

Now there is something about the shape of that pony that just looks a bit odd (bum/ back legs) and I can't for the life of me put my finger on it!!

(Its very odd for me to be taken by a spotty i'm normally very traditional- but I'm a little intrigued by this one!)

I think that it is a very bad photo and a terribly unflattering angle. It does look like she needs alot more muscle. If you like her, go and see her in the flesh. :D

Well done Faracat!!!

I think she's lovely! Probably the lack of tail doesn't help the appearance of her back end.. It wouldn't put me off enough to not view her, may also be the angle of the photo :D

i agrree that she looks like a baby. look at the mane - the picture gives the appearance of some of my section d`s foals manes! but yes - something doesnt feel quite right about this picture.

Looks hardly older than 2!
Sadly not my cup of tea, but the photo is at an odd angle and to see her in the flesh may change everything!

"i agree that she looks like a baby. look at the mane - the picture gives the appearance of some of my section d`s foals manes!"

My full bred appaloosa has a mane like that and she's 16! I've never touched it, it just doesn't grow or thicken. It's just the breed. They tend to have either an ok tail or an ok mane. Mine has an ok tail.

It's amazing what people can make up from just looking at a photo!! Try looking up a bit about appys before making comments about that pony's mane and tail and it's age. They do have wispy ones, even as adults. It's a trait of the breed...
