What is your favourite breed??

Can't pick just one, i have a handful and all very different!!

hackneys - for the history
standardbreds - love trotting
shetlands - tough, tenacious
criollos - just awesome power and sleek good looks, great colours
apps - good lookin'
welsh A & C because they look good driven, particularly Cs in a trade class
Welsh Ds - great all rounders
Shires & cobs that are black with four whites and a white face, just love that colour scheme, look great in harness
ardennes and suffolk punch - chunk ahoy!

um, think that's it!

Would have to be Arabs, I own one and she is fantastic. I don't like the exotic arabs though, I like a proper substantial arab. Mine is french on her dam's side, and Godolphin bred on her sire's side. I love the Old English/Crabbets though, and my previous mare was 3/4 Crabbet and part Welsh.

Which leads me onto my other favourite, Welsh Section a!!

I like my Americans (Quarters and Paints) and Spanish horses (any), big chunky arabs (not dainty pony sized ones as am too tall) also love new forests but am far too big for them :-( and Cleveland bays

New Forest - Sturdy, cheeky little allrounders.
Irish Draught - Calm, leg in each corner, reliable allrounders

Thoroughbreds - can anything beat them? Elegant, intelligent and turbo-charged! Love Irish Drafts now as they are calm, workman-like and easy to keep. If I was shorter, I'd have a Connemara though, they are attractive, great jumpers and sensible. :):)

Warmbloods - Hanoverians, Belgians, Holsteiners and Oldenburgs - So versatile, handsome and willing to work. Very rewarding to own one :)

Criollos are top of the pops with me. Intelligent, characterful, versatile, strong, with great endurance and hardiness. I'd say brave too, but one of mine is a total nelly so it's clearly not a given. I also fancy a Rocky Mountain horse, or even a mustang.

My favourite's to ride would be the Warmbloods, I've had Dutch and Hanoverian and they move with such beauty and power, as well as being incredibly intelligent.

To own or look after, I think I've fallen in love with pretty much everything, from Shire's to Shetlands, TB's to natives. Show me a set of hooves and I'll find a beautiful animal.

Ohhh, yes - Rocky Mountain Horse's! I've never met one, but they look amazing! X
