What is your favourite horse breed?

My sig pic probably gives the game away! ;)

I do love arabs and there are many reasons why, but it really comes down to the fact that they seem to suit me perfectly, plus I don't find the dishy, seahorse heads ugly which helps. :p

Spanish for me, and as I often have to ride all sorts it only reinforces why that is so. In the work that I currently require horses to do, nothing even comes close for intelligence, responsiveness, bravery, beauty and just plain good manners.

Thoroughbreds - they are stunningly beautiful, somewhat challenging on occasions, there is nothing to beat them :) Having said that, I converted to a 'sports cob' a year ago and he is pretty darn great :D

Shetlands! Hands down! Closely followed by tb's and fells.

Not normally a combination you would see together to be fair but i love the elegance and grace of the TB whilst the shetlands are pure character!

They have to have pretty heads too. I can't be doing with big ugly heads! I have to look at it over a stable door everyday so it may as well be something i like the look of!

Arabs firstly as you can tell by by my sig pic, a good one will take you anywhere ,keep you safe and show an incredible attachment to you. They are also heaven to ride:) . Second would be Spanish for the reasons Cortez has listed, brave and beautiful with unbelievable power. I would also like a Friesian, i think they are stunning !

Irish draughts for me, I find them to be a perfect balance of steady and sensible with athletic ability and beautiful!
Although I think there are gems in every breed!

Shires as I love lots of feather on a horse, I like tall horses (yes I know my mare is 13.2hh) and they have a sweet temperament (most of them!)

I genuinely don't have a 'favourite' breed.
The type & personality I have a stamp - but this usually ends up being a mix of bloodlines

Highlands, I just adore mine. He has a great outlook on life and is so versatile. I'd definitely have a few more if I had time/money. My Exmoor has grown on me and really is pretty cool, but not quite as straightforward.

Arabs every time for me. A perfect combination of breathtaking looks and immense athleticism. Every one I've known has been a one person horse and that appeals to me too.

I thought this would be an easy one to answer but as soon as I started thinking about it it became complicated. Turns out pretty much every breed is my favourite in some way.
I'm very indecisive!

Highlands for me :) My girl is getting on a bit now but she's still forward going, not at all stuffy and very lean for a HiPo. She's on a livery yard in Yorkshire and I'm in Lincolnshire. I miss her a lot.
