a simple change? I've heard someone talking about it on the yard today and was just curious. They were talking about dressage. anyone know?

I've heard of flying change but not simple change...

I believe it is a change of leg in canter, via 2 or 3 strides of walk

yes it is, no trot in between the canter - walk trans or back again!

whoops - i always thought it was through trot!

well when judges have asked us for a sim;e change they have meant canter trot canter across the centre or diagonal to change the rein re the term simple change

Simple change should be through walk, however, some B.E. tests specify simple change through trot..........!

A simple change is through walk.
You can change through trot but it is not called a simple change.....the test would read something along the lines of:
MXK Change rein and over X change of leg through trot.
