ok this is for people with more than one horse or pony, what was the lame excuse you used when you bought another one. mine was i forgot i'd bought her so i've put her in my maiden name, (which i was going to go back to havent got round to it yet) so she belongs to the rest of the family. also the other stable was empty and i did'nt want another idiot round on my yard so lets here the excuses.

My mum needed one to ride :)
I had my first pony - welsh sec a, my mum used to walk with us when I hacked etc. I fell in love with a 13.2 jumping pony, so we bought her, for mum to ride!
Admittedly, mum DID ride her, I mostly rode her in the school :D

I wanted a small project pony that I could do pretty much everything on then possibly sell.
I said "Well, he's on his own, the cob will kill him and your mare isn't exactly the friendliest. You move the other one from work to the yard quite often so I think we should get something else."
We went back to the dealer, saw Muffin, googled Mule Show Jumping, and here we are ^^
BE80's here I come :D

I bought one as a "project" for the summer with the intention of selling at the end of summer as my old boy was having time off to enjoy the sunshine in the field.....I think my OH is starting to realise that my "project" might be with me for longer than previously envisaged. Oops!

I didn't have one tbh.

Saw it, wanted it, bought it.

No reason or rationality really. LOL.

Love it Binky! :D

As above, except that I don't know when to stop sometimes. Early on this summer I had 14 of my own, down to a more practical seven now. I do tend to say "give me three months and it will sell as a childs pony" they always do, and whilst I am not losing money I get away with it.

I have to say it was easier when the horses were two miles away up the side of a mountain than now when they are spread around outside the house. OH didn't often go up to the mountain field and when he saw what he thought (correctly) was a new one I just used to tell him that one grey looked like another. I had three identical white welshies at one time!

Love that too!!! :p

wanted one that wouldnt be ill all the time, so went out and after 6 months of looking ended up with a yongster. Now the one that was lame all the time is sound and no more health issues. As for my sheltland always wanted one so went out and got one easier going from 2-3 then next year plan for a foal as well so will end up with 4.

I love that too! I only have one horse at the minute but keep looking for a youngster to bring on. I could prob get away with hiding he/she from OH too aswell!

haha loving the excuses :D

im buying another next year (april). And neeed an excuse to buy that one lol./ im paying for it/ doing all livery yet i still get made to feel guilty!!! :D lol

Lame excuse was......just that!!! Ex-racehorse was lame, couldn't be relied upon to be sound on regular basis for competing so daughter needed (expensive) replacement. Said ex-racehorse is now happy as larry doing bugger all!
