What level for BD?

I event and l have never done BD(cant really afford it as well as BE and BSJA) But a horse l event has been getting quite good marks at PN level l just wondered whether it was worth doing some BD or will l get laughed at as l have no idea of the standard you should be to do it,any advice??

the equivalent for PN eventing would be prelim with some basic novice movements , such as lengthen strides, give and re-take reins, canter across the diagonal and back to the track etc

what l mean is if my horse is getting say a score of 33 in a PN test is that good enough to do say novice BD? Without looking like an idiot!

Yeah, I would say thats absolutely fine!! Believe me there are a lot worse!!

Go for it! you will do fine getting those sort of results at PN you would be fine at prelim and some novice tests.
