the weather has been horrible, im broke, sisters horse bit my shoulder yesterday and continues to be an absolute baggage, and i'm sick of being up to my ankles in mud. But i still managed to raise a smile at a couple of things....

One is Hovis's Friday diary....always cheers me up reading that

The other is the bromance going on between my dog and my 2 mini shetlands. Alfie is 18mths old (the 'dead' one in my avatar) and Freddie is 7 months old. I let em up on the yard in a morning and they both love, and i mean love, coming to me for an all over body scratch. The minute i sit down they're both there angling their bodies around to the bits they want scratching. Mickey, my parson russell terrier used to get a bit jealous until one day Freddie started to groom him whilst i was scratching. M decided this was good and let him carry on. Then Alfie joined in and M was in heaven.

The general layout of this groomfest is me sitting on a low stool with both ponies stood next to each with their bums resting on my knees for a bum and back leg scratch. Mickey starts off licking Freddies face. They kiss a bit (with tongues!!) then Mickey positions himself in front of the ponies and the grooming begins. Even if they get a bit rough sometimes he just jumps away, doesnt snap or bite em, then moves back into position.

Id love to get some pics or a vid of em but unless i grow an extra arm or someone else is down with me its impossible. But every day it makes me smile :)

So tell me what put a smile on your face this week?

My horse lying in the stable, then when he saw me at the door gave a big whinny and got up.. and promptly headbutted me square in the chest  and then when he was let out in the field, let loose everything he wouldn't do while I'm on board.. think fly bucking-galore and an absolute hammering round the field. Love to see him be a 'horse' if you know what I mean :) xx
