What made you switch yards the last time you moved?

..whenthe head girl was smacking the horse next door around the head as he wasnt keen on having his bridle put on....i know this horse very well and it was obvious to me he had some sort of reason but she, although qualified hadnt got a clue.

Woe is me, I just can't find a local DIY yard which is suitable they are all full!
I really can't travel twice a day over a long distances, may send him for schooling locally, and then I am afraid he will have to go, it is just not fun any more.

I had exactly the same problem, everything reasonably priced stuffed to the gills, everything else super expensive and in most cases, with no turnout! A friend is putting my horse up for me on her land with her ponies. It's a fair way to travel but she's going to check on her for me in the afternoon so only once a day, and it's just grass livery, but as my horse is a real youngster, a winter quietly growing up won't do her any harm.

I have been told it's a very bad time of year for this, it's not just you and me, another friend of mine is also struggling to move. People will start moving around come spring. Hope you can find a way through this.

I moved due to there being no grass. I was putting hay out all year round ! The hacking was also rubbish the lanes were used as cut throughs to the main roads. I only moved a couple of miles down the roads and the difference is amazing! Plenty of grazing (too much= needed to use muzzle :roll eyes the hacking is great too woods, orchards, national trust and quieter lanes. There is only YO, myself and 1 other livery! Is lovely and quiet no grief! Does get a bit lonely sometimes when you have noone to ride with! Also wish we had a school! Can't have everything eh?
