Vardi has been backed and up to now ridden in a leather learning bit. This is absolutley great for schooling and lunging but now he is being hacked out he is very forward going and I would like a little more in the way of brakes.

It is not a case of holding him back but more a case of "oi mate remember you are wearing a bit and when I give you the aid to stop you should"

I am thinking a double broken Lozenge snaffle. Does anyone else have any suggestions?

I used a Neue Schule loose ring snaffle (with lozenge). It's mild and they like the taste but it's a bit more substantial than a leather bit or Happy Mouth which I had previously used.

I loved the Nathe french link for my horse when she was younger.

I have both the KK and the NS snaffle with the lozenge and I've got to say I prefer the KK, even though it's more expensive
