Ok don't shoot me down in flames but Poppy's mane was a right mess, yes I know she is native but,,,,,

So I bought a solo comb, and with Poppy being a tad anxious perhaps I didn't take as much thought as I should have done!!! It'll grow!!!

Anyway, despite the haircut I did win over her; the farrier came and told me not to let her push me around, so having freaked out at the weigh tape I bought I got cross and shouted at her; I did persevere and got the tape around her girth with not a bat of her eye in the end. The solo comb had the same effect but in the end she stood like a good 'un. She reminds me of the pudding bowl hair cut!

sorry to those who are cringeing at my attemps!

tbh i dont think its a bad job with the solo comb, I could never use it on my natives it always came out awful, have got rid of it in favour of a friend who does my manes for a fiver lol

aww the mane looks fine maybe you could make the forelock into more of a V shape it would look more natural allthough she does look very cute :)

Never mind her mane (looks fine, like the tossing of the head) but OMG you have grass and it's green!!

That's the good part of the orchard, behind me is a good crop of thistles that we should have sprayed off but only managed to top! We have other fields that are bare brown. Today's rain that was forecast never materialised although it looks at black as a witches hat outside now!

She's lovely looking and looks very like my girl who is a bit wild and woolly in the mane department so nice to see what could be.
