Apart from horse board, ids seem to only want full id, as I can't find document for registering them. Thanks, also I'm northern. Ireland so that or south ireland. Has ti be a society here.

Why dont you want to use the Horse Board? That would be the usual one. If the details are proven, ie registered draught stallion used and covering cert sent off, or IDHS or IHB registered Idraught mare with foal DNA tested it be no problem getting a passport with part-breeding recorded.

I was messed about few years back and just rather a different one. But will go to if can't find one. Also had another mare I bought few years back and got her dna tested as she hadn't a book. Was sent a white book when my mare had breeding when went to sell her all I got is why is she white book as that's for horses with no breeding. I'm not worried about colour of book but a lot of other people where. So have have 2 problems with them other one rather not into. But as I said I will use them if I have to. Also took nearly 5mths to get a book back from them for another foal. But all mine are nearly coloured and I love the irish piebald and skewbald society for them. Would like the ID society but get see on web about registering half ID. Will email them next week. Thanks

I have just registered my horse with irish draught horse society,I think I contacted a lady called Annie Holbeche? He was dna tested half irish draught (ebony hill) half unknown (TB we think). So he is now registered on Irish Draught Sports Horse register. It was pretty easy to do, they are lovely! Could have got a green passport but quite expensive so have Certificate of Origin which gives his unique registration number.

Thanks st, what colour is ur book. I will give them a ring. Thanks just couldn't c it on web page.

At the moment just have the original pleasure horse passport for horses 'of indiscriminant breeding'! Would have got the green book but this involved getting his original passport revoked and getting a new one issued. with 50 quid for the passport, plus re-filling in of the identification sheet by a vet (call out fees etc), I went for the certificate that slips inside his current passport but effectively means the same thing. But Irish Draught Sport Horses are eligible for the green passport I suspect depending on the breeding. My horses sire happens to be a grade one irish draught stallion so ted can be registered as a grade one IDSH. So it depends how the Dam/Sire are registered? It was very confusing to be honest and took a fair few months to sort out, but if you can get hold of the ladies at the society they will help as much as possible.
