Having looked at the pics on The Veterinary forum of what our horses have been through with illnesses and accidents I thought I would ask you what your horses have done to you.

To kick (sic) start the topic this is my left boob (!) after the hoss bit me when he had a bad back! Ignore the tattoo of a rose, that was not his fault!

What else have we suffered with.................

I once got bitten on my neck and still have the scar 10 years later. Also was very nearly double barrelled by a TB when I was about 11. My oldie once ran through an electric fence with me on her, I came off, snapped my collar bone and broke the top of my arm.

That's about it so far, I feel quite lucky. *Touches wood*

1st I had a huge haematoma removed from the top of my back after getting dragged under GA but I don't have a photo. Could get one of the scar if required though :p

These are all in the last ten years. There have been others before that. I also had a cracking concussion last year and a dislocated little finger but again, no photos

Yip. Don't ride racehorses, especially not breakers. Don't only have youngsters. Don't ride things other people don't want to.

I have learnt my lesson on all fronts. Well, maybe not the youngster one as Nits is still only four and BH is the grand old age of seven, but hey ho! :p
 
No pictures but I've been double barreled by a cob who managed to catch me on the tops of both legs, I was 13 and it was the start of summer and I couldn't wear shorts all through the holidays in case my mum saw and stopped me riding. I've also broken my ribs, my elbow, my collarbone, dislocated 3 fingers and fractured my pelvis. The worse injury though was when someone galloped passed me during a sponsored ride, my horse threw his head up and smacked me in the face blacking my eye, bruising my cheek and splitting my lip, the injuries weren't too bad but I was due to go on a first date that night and ended up looking like I'd just gone 10 rounds with Mike Tyson!

I got a very horrid black knee when a youngster took me into a post and rail fence, my knee and the fence met! Ouch! It actually made me feel sick looking at it or moving it!
Bruised toes
A bite on my stomach! Little sh@t! So more bruising and teeth marks
Oh and a twist in my neck for over a year from when I superman'd off my friends horse
Touch wood that's it, that I can remember so v lucky
 
Broken foot, broken leg, broken back (which went in diagnosed for 4 years resulting in spinal cord damage), broken fingers, broken jaw, broken nose and a fair few concussions. Also a lot of bad bruises from being kicked and bitten. The worst was the jaw as it was pretty much smashed all down the right side and displaced I had to have it all plated, screwed and wired back together meaning I couldn't eat or speak for 8 weeks!
 
My mum beats me though.

Broken back
Both collar bones
Broken ankle
Broken ribs

As well as the usual bruises etc. She is much more hardcore than me!
 
Ah, I can't post it as I'm not on my own laptop, but somewhere there's a thread of what my face looked like after being double barreled and having pretty much all the bones broken.

My mum has a photo of the first time I busted my nose and I look a bit like an extra from star trek with grit imbedded in my face :o
This was a bit more recent you can't really appreciate the egg on the side of my bed or the buckle imprint from the pic though put the creepy spanish men off though:rolleyes:

I'm too embarrassed to post my pics :o, my leg that I broke in 3 places looks vile and scaley and I have a 5inch scar down my back and a 3inch scar on my hip from my spinal fusion. It's a bit grim lol
 
domane that looks agonising. You poor bugger.

And Puppy's photos are horrific. I don't actually even like to look at them as they're scary. (Puppy isn't scary, I just mean it's scary to think what could have happened)

Front teeth knocked out when a kid(thankfully my baby teeth)
Broken collar bone
Broken nose
Broken fingers and toes
Fractured foot
Dislocated shoulder
Dislocated knee
Concusion
A few too many kicks whick left a few too many bruises and same goes for bites.

Lesson learnt dont break and bring on youngsters and troubled horses and stick to showing when you turn 30, has worked so far:D
