No innuendo intended ;) basically a friend is going to be doing a fair amount of bits for me with my horse when I move livery yards (horse on grass livery) so I was just wondering what price people would expect to be paying for the following, baring in mind she doesn't have a horse at the yard, but lives 5mins away.

Feeding and checking (feed will be made up)
Bring in a waiting around for the farrier
Full livery day (so feed am, poo pick, feed pm and possible rug changes)

Think that's it :)
Thanks
V

prices vary a lot at different livery yards and freelance grooms
at my old yard it was £2.50 for them to feed, feed already made.
never got them to change rugs but that was £2.50 again I think. poo picking I would think is an approximate per hour rate of £5 an hour, most people who do poo picking.
when I fed my friends horse every morning, I was given £50 a month, so worked out as £1.70 each time I fed (I often made the feed as well) I did rug changes as well if necessary.

to make it worth her while, I would personally want £10 for a whole day, depends a bit on how much poo there is to pick.

Is she going to be going in the car? If so 5 mins in the car even once a day will cost around £10 a week you then need to add her time on top.

My old yard charged £1 a barrow for poo picking same for rug change feed etc

I have paid in the past ...

£1.50 for feed and check over in the field
£7.50 per farrier visit
£8-10 per day full livery service

I would imagine if you have a week of feed/check then you will need to pay a petrol supplement too. Perhaps seven days worth of feed and check should be at least £16-7?
