so... i've written Raff's advert... put it on a couple of free sites... and have had a couple of replies (*gulp*)

one girl just rang and i, um, wasn't very good at asking her questions, instead i just waffled about how fantastic Raff is... so, i thought i should probably have a list of prepared questions...

so far i have:

what is your riding experience?
where do you live? do you drive?
what would you be looking to do with Raff? (eg hacking, competing etc - in advert i've said either one is fine)
how many days a week would you want to ride?
if planning on riding in the evenings, what about winter. would routine change then?
do you have/would you get insurance as a rider?

um... mind is blank. anything else? anyone?

also... do sharers need contracts like loaners? hmm... i guess not. i just like the idea of everything being written down i guess... :o

horse management experience?
references?
competing?
experience hacking and schooling?

I would do a contract with a sharer, due to the fact it covers you if anything were to happen whilst under the care of the sharer. It may also show how keen they are to share your horse. :D

My contract stated: Vet costs if the horse receives injury down to the riders fault and things like that. Half on all food, farrier costs etc. Sharers don't always realise how expensive it can be by the time shoes, insurance etc is added on at the end of the month. It good to write out a list and let them see it.

Exerience and what they hope to gain from the loan.. More experience or shows etc and if there is shows you both want to attend if this may be an issue? Will they be looking to buy anytime soon, you could find your self looking for another sharer pretty soon if they are. Have they shared/owned before why did they give up/sell?
