what rate of pay to expect??? *advice needed*

I'm going to have a 'chat' about a yard job tomorrow and was wondering what rate of pay i could expect as a guide at the mo. Bear in minds int's part time and as far i know so far involves general yard duties but not a mention on riding as yet.
I know there's a possibility i might be asked how much i expect and although i would rather they told me how much they pay, i'd like a guide line so i don't look shocked or anything!
 
my friend works part time on a yard and gets £20 per "morning" she works. Saying morning I do mean 9 - 11 so not the usual 7.30 till 12 hours! I know around here most places offer betweeen £6-8 an hour :)
