I know this has been done before but just wondered what people's tips were for getting the white bits really gleaming (especially the bottom of the feather)?

I currently use gallop extra strength shampoo and Supreme products whitener (the spray can).

A friend of mine used to swear by blue fairy liquid for her cobs white feather and tail. Nothing gets mine's tail white though, not helped by the presence of brown hairs :)

Dunno great question though... Chalk, a gallop shampoo.... Erm when all else fails on Apache I get a tea- towel wet it (only a little bit- it doesn't need to be dripping in water) then sort of using a strokey brushey action gently go over the desired patch of white... That's what works for me... Though don't use a new teatowel or one that you want to use for cleaning the home- they get all the dirt out and on the fabric.... :D
Don't tell everyone about it though... ;) abbeyandapache xx

Blue fairy liquid and heard that diluted purple spray is good for tails but you need to wash it off.

Thankfully mine only has a tiny bit of white and is a clean freak :D

Vetrolin purple shampoo it is expensive but they glow white! Worth it for special occasions. People constantly stop us and ask what we use because his white bits gleam so much ( until he poos down them!)
