Unbranded I bought old rubber belt matting from English China Clay as it was then, 4 strips to a stable £20. Heavy to move but great to just have beneath a decent bed to protect horses hocks etc.

I don't know what make mine are - they are dimples on one side and grooves on the other. I have them at the front of the box, so they horse can stand and look out the doors, standing on mat, rather than bare concerete. If I bed up to the door, it gets blown/kicked out and makes a mess.

I also feed their hay on the mats, wit a full bed swept back a bit (I have big stables). It stops too much hay being wasted.

Can't vote on my phone. But I have unbranded mats, bobbles one side and grooves the other. Bloody heavy things too!
I have huge easibed banks, then a thin bed which I just about remove everyday because Mally is such a tramp!

Equimats - because they fitted my stable better and they are sooooo light if you need to move them its easy. My stable is something like almost 13' wide and a tad over 14' long. If you send Equimat the size of your stable, they provide the mats cut to the right size and the left overs too! They are more expensive than standard mats but because of the way the lock together, they don't move and even their standard thickness is thicker than standard mats. They sweep up really clean as well and when you do lift them, there's hardly any "liquid" underneath so they don't need lifting and washing out underneath that often. I think I've only taken mine out once in the nearly 4 years I've had them and they still look as good as new.

I have both, black matting for the field shelters and green equimatting for stables - only the 20mm thickness not the 28mm thickness.

However there is a big difference between the 'squishyness' of the equimatting - it has more cushioning so the horses seem to lie down in it more.

More expensive but would recommend every time :)

Not sure of brand name but some cheap, light, squishy foam-like mats! He's not in a lot but they do the job for when he is, they're really cushioning, SO easy to pick up and move.

Only downside is they do move a bit, but generally fine as he's quiet in the stable.. but when a friend borrowed stable for her horse who is more stressy/ a fidget and very big they did move about more. :)

Probably a similar thing to this, really heavy mats, they never move though which is great! they are from a quarrying company, (old conveyor belts) 10mm thick and really hard wearing. Best of all they were absolutely free! :) We have all of our stables done, they fit better than proper stable mats too as you can cut them to size.

Fieldguard complete bedding mats - brilliant :) you dont need to use any bedding with them I use a very very thin layer of bedding in mine otherwise mine which were previously used to straw beds dont "get" that they can lie down. They are really comfy and springy :) I can happily lie on them. Have the interlocking model which is smarter, and easy to brush BUT as the mats fit so well together the draining hadnt been so good but I think I have rectified this by prising them apart a little. Other stable has individual mats, drain incredibly quickly but harder to brush and horse does occasionally manage to lift a mat up at the edge. I have my old black mats in the front of another stable thats too large to fully mat (has a deep straw bed) and even just standing on them I cannot believe how much harder they are!

Mayomats, designed for cows, lovely and soft, light to move, don't show any damage at all after years - fabulous.

+1 Mayomats by cowcomfort.
Softer, thicker, better and best of all very reasonable :)

I have always been interested for feedback on the Soft Stall mats (like a mattress) promoted by Mary King a few years ago but don't know of anyone that has them. http://www.softstall.com/softstall_thesystem.asp

The black mat as fetched them (20 miles) to save transport and couldn't afford thicker mats as doing double stable and they seem fine.

I've got the Fieldguard M2 mats. I bought them initially because I had a mucky mare who used to mash her droppings through her bed every night, so I wanted mats that I could use with the minimum of bedding. I chose the Fieldguard mats because they are squishy enough to be comfortable without much bedding, they are light and easy to move and lay and because the little rubber 'legs' under the mats allow the urine to drain underneath. As my stable floors are sloped the urine then drains to a gulley outside. Another reason for chosing them was because a friend had them and found them very durable. My first lot have been down for over 10 years now and absolutely no sign of wear on them at all.

Equimats all the way

have an odd black mat but 99.9 per cent Equimats..
Light

easy to move , interlock , friendly people at equimats gave me a discount each time i ordered a new stable to be matted ( opened up previous storage stable for extra horses )
.

We now have 11 stables with equimats only donkey doesn't because we had 3 odd mats and she has a ramp in her stable so she can c out.

I was coned once to buy these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SPECIAL-O...oods_StableAccessories_SM&hash=item1e682674e9 they are crap . I noticed this seller has changed it to wall mats, these are useless for the stable floor, my gelding dug at them and made a large dinner plate hole and there was crumbs of foam everywhere, Dont buy these for the floor , waste of money I also used them in horse box partition , they are ok for that not the best but ok
