Light weight with neck for IDx and a TB. Plebtly of hay, but field too muddy not to rug otherwise IDx would prob b.in fly sheet or no rug. However she us a grey mud monsta!!
no rugs for ages now, (some havent had one on at all). The TB has had a rain sheet on now and again the last couple of weeks, but pretty much staying rugless now.
As I type he's in a lightweight no-longer-waterproof turnout rug with a no fill waterproof rug over it. When it gets warmer in June (hopefully) he will be au natural.
Yep it is dropping to 3C overnight here too. And then there is windchill. Mine is in a 40g with neck, but as she's dropped weight I might need to put something warmer on!
Our are out 24/7 with grown out full clips and have had no rugs for last few weeks! Then I only had rugs on to keep them dry! Mine are usually out at end of March without rugs!
Connor is in a lightweight rain sheet as he was clipped at the end of March. If it's not raining it's usually windy, and it's quite chilly at night. My central heating is back on again.
My 3yr old has a rain sheet on, she did have a fly rug on during the day a few days ago when the sun actually came out of hiding and I just put her rainsheet over the top at night for a day or two then it was forecast rain so took her fly rug off and left her rainsheet on.
I think my mum's wimpy skinny pony has a lightweight on most of the time now (nights) or her 40g if it's raining. Naked during the day unless wet. She is proving difficult to keep weight on (otherwise she'd be naked all the time).
One TB, one Cob, both nearly grown out clips, in LW's, no fill, more to keep them clean to ride as it's been so wet. Neither are cold.
Summer supposedly on it's way this week, fingers crossed!
all mine have been naked for the best part of 2month now- (18 yo blanket clipped arab x, 40 yo fossil, and a 2 yo)
the weather has been great here up until this week. we had to take them in to dry off and re-rug as it was torrential rain and blowing a gale. they were all shaking in their boots!
they had light middle weights on for a day or two when it was horrid, but straight back off when it dried up.
Rain sheet on my boy if the weather is looking pants, sometimes I'll leave him naked for a few hours to roll. If it's warm enough or if the sun is out he goes with just a fly sheet to keep him from being bleached by the sun. I'll admit this is a little petty but I like my black horse to stay black!
