taking my mind of thing...or trying!...
I need to set the pony up with some rugs....

she is 14hh very fine type, good condition etc.

Lives out 24/7 currently in a 100g rug and just ok... (rugs too small tho :o )..

I know we are in for a bad winter - so im thinking about getting her a 220gish rug and a 350g? or is that too much?

shes two btw... but hasnt got a winter coat in the slightest :/

thanks in advance

Will she be clipped, and how well does she tend to do in the winter?

My hairy good doer is chaser clipped and the plan is to have a rainsheet on him for most of the winter. I have a light fill for when it does get cold, and a medium just in case, he'll be brought in at night though.

Is this the little coloured cob x?

If shes the one going away on grass livery somewhere make sure they are up for checking rugs every day and changing them as needed. Id be tempted not to rug her, I would be surprised if she doesnt grow a decent coat to cope.

C - yes shes cob x friesian warmblood - she is a good weight at the moment on some good feeds - the grass at this place looks amazing - they have a lot of land = no mud ! (well not a lot anyhow)!

Ive seen on the site they also have field shelters?

My reason for rugging is the rain scald thing? how does that occur?

Im tempted to buy her a medweight? (mabey 250g ish) to send with her? so i donthave to have a mad dash to get another for her

the place is an hour away - i will be popping in now and again but it will be a break for me...
