what saddle do you hunt in?

I'm thinking of getting an Ideal Impala for hunting and HT's. Any thoughts, advice, suggestions or warnings??

I hunt in either an Albion K2 or an Ideal Event which has been modifed for me.

If it's a hill/wall country day then I use the K2 so I am in 2 point position and not on his back all the time - good for thigh toning as well!

If it is a pasture/lowland day it's the Ideal so I can sit down and let him go.

I hunt in a wow with xc flaps and a shallow seat. But you have to find one that suits you. I like being able to get out of the seat and to not feel constrained.

I hunt in an old Penwood jumping saddle or a Stubben Siegfried.

My old pony came with a Pennwood saddle and it was the best thing ever; so comfortable! Now I just hunt in whatever fits each particular horse, although my preference is for a lovely GPJ type saddle as many days out in a CC tend to be very unforgiving to the bottom, never mind the horses back.

Falcon Adler VSS, comfy for him, some security for me and soft seat!!

Mine is a Falcon Adler VSD (similar to Dovarian's) and it's very comfortable.
