just wanted to know what saddles everyone used...

really wanted to know some opinions on the Albion Kontact Lite... but also other close contact jump saddles...

Thanks!!

I have a fabulous saddle.

I have a Bespoke Saddle Company saddle - made by Ellie Martin. It is absolutely perfect for my Welsh Sec.D with the panels cut back so it looks like a cross between a GP and dressage saddle, but his lovely big shoulders plenty of room to move. It is a perfect, made to measure fit and is so, so comfortable.

Doesn't help you with a jumping saddle, I am afraid - but I love my saddle.

I use an Albion Legend 5000 XC for jumping, it’s really good as you can get your stirrups nice and short without going over the front of the knee roll. It has really helped with my jumping position after riding in quite a straight cut GP.

My horse has a Kieffer dressage saddle and a Stubben jumping saddle. The Kieffer I don't fit, my knee goes over the front slightly but it was fitted for his owner who is rather shorter than me. Really like the Stubben but have to have a seat saver on it as it is so hard!

kent and masters jump saddle very similar to albion but has changable gullet fits lovley an nice saddle to ride jump in :)

Louie has a Kieffer Wein DL dressage saddle which I love it is so comfortable and he moves really well in it. Have a Wintec 500 for my jumping *cringes* so Im currently on the look out for a jumping saddle. Did used to have a lovely Abion but doesnt fit my new boy, would highly recommend

Morris & Nolan GP one (think the style is called Connemara) for a native cob x. It's lovely and very comfortable though showing a bit of wear and tear as I ride a lot and had it 6 years.

I finally have a saddle that fits!! It's taken over four years, I've used five different saddlers, tried too many saddles to begin to remember them all and bought several, spending a good deal more than my happy happy hack is worth on them and FINALLY I have a saddle that fits her and is comfy for me!

It's a GFS Pro-Event and I love it.... for no other reason than because it is comfy for my girl!!

Euroriding Jade with flexible tree
Eric Thomas Fontainbleu
Barnsby GP
Kavalkade synthetic GP
Old no name hunter saddle

I think that's it atm:)
My favourite is the Jade - it fits 3 of my horses:)

At the moment a Continental Equiflex Trek'n'Trail #148, until tomorrow 4 p.m. ... :)

... and from then on it'll be the Deuber Desmond O'Brien Ultraflex Schulsattel with flexible tree, continuously variable in the gullet in black and cognac-coloured. ;)

I have a Henri de Rivell close contact saddle, I think it's an "event" saddle and it basically looks like something between a forward cut GP and a jumping saddle. It is THE most comfortable saddle I have ever sat in, I absolutely adore it and it was a total bargain. Horse also likes it, much more so than the very expensive Harry Dabbs saddle I used to have!

My pony has a Falcon Hawk Event Saddle which is a GP saddle and is really comfy! My youngster has an Albion GP Saddle which is also nice to ride in. :)

I also have an Falcon Hawk Event and a Wintec Pro Dressage and just bought an Albion Selecta. Those are all for one girlie :D whoops!

Used to have and Ideal Grandee, lovely saddle prob the most comfortable saddles i've ridden in. My new horse has a Kent and Masters jump saddle, really nice and i can adjust it as he grows.

I tried out the Kontact light last week, in a saddle fitting. I did like it. It is very close contact, and you can feel every movement of the horse. It comes with different sized adjustable knee blocks.

I liked it, but I was looking for a comfy & secure jump saddle that will also do me for hacking, and in the end I chose the Albion K2 Jump, as for what I'm doing it seemed more of an allrounder, and has big blocks to keep me secure when my horse is leaping about like a prat, as he does!

:o:o Wintec

But it fits and does the job, I personally cannot see the point in getting a jumping saddle until she's jumping much bigger. If we ever made it to novice (haha, like that would happen) that's probably when I would splash out on a jumping saddle. I'll be sticking to gp's for jumping(leather once she's fully matured) :)

Have a GFS pro event saddle, which is ok but not perfect for me, as fits my dad best.

Also have a Throwgood T6 Dressage which I really like! makes me look tall on Pickle!
