Please tell me what saddles you have for your cobs, I have a Kent and Masters cob saddle and currently waiting for a saddle fitter to come out and check all is OK. Saffy seems very wide at the moment!

I have a Thorowgood cob saddle XW but poss needs XXW. Very good, no problems with it at all.

If I could afford it I would also like an Ideal H&C XW (as they are slightly wider fit than the T'good, saddler fitting showed she would be a size smaller in the Ideal.

Coblet is a 14.2 rather solid Haflinger. Mind you she went pretty speedily at the endurance ride we did even with her podge :-)

Thorowgood T4 cob. Changable gullet and fish system and removeable knee rolls. Great saddle, not the most comfortable thing ever for long hacks but I have a treeless for that anyway!

I have a thorowgood cob t6 but would love to get a working hunter saddle sometime due to the cut on the shoulder.

where did you get your TG cob saddle from robyn? are you buying it then getting it fitted? on net i can find a t6 for 385 but my saddler charges 450 :O big difference!

We hover between two saddles, a GFS vsd, wide which is used mainly in the summer when showing, then when the mare don't get that much work in the winter, she tends to put weight on, and then goes in a Falcon adler vsd xwide, but once she has done a few days hunting, the GFS comes back into play. works for us!

Native Pony Company 'The Glen' and Native Pony Company 'The Fen'. Both fit like gloves and have gel inside which heats up and moulds to my boys back. I really like the Native Pony Company saddles and they have a reasonable call out charge for checking and refitting :D

I also have a Kent and Masters and it's a bloody good job I have to say as my boy has gone up 3 headplate sizes since I got him! (He was only 4 and has grown like a weed and muscled out a lot since I got him) He's now in the yellow 1 so I have quite a collection!

I have a T4 Cob Thoroughgood GP for my Sec D. Its great for him - I don't find it massively comfy but it does its job.

He's currently fitted with the XW gullet and we aren't using the fish system but its there if we need it. Its the best fitting saddle for him I've come across and my saddler is really pleased with the fit.

Well my saddler looked at our coblet and said mmm I think we are going to have to go with a made to measure - fortunaltey she tried an Ideal VSD (cant remmember if its XW or XXW) and it fitted, and still fits like a glove - reasonable price and v comfy.

an ancient barnsby (straight cut, flat seat, no rolls showing saddle), and a fairly new frank baines dressage cut one.

alternate between the 2 depending on time of year :)

Dorchester Saddlery :) It's £395 including P&P (cob version).

I'm not sure whether I would recommend them. I bought it 6 weeks ago on tuesday. Everything went through like a normal order then received an email to say the size/colour I wanted wasn't in stock, so did I want it in black (no!). They haven't taken the money but said 5 weeks, still waiting. If I had know I would have ordered 5 weeks in advance.

Brought my boy several saddles as he kept changing shape, was 6 when i brought him and he's 8 now so has stopped changing so he now has a Ideal event, best saddle to sit on in my opinion......

I'm constantly having problems with mine changing shape ... hes bucked me off a couple of times recently. So i borrowed a barefoot treeless from someone on the yard, and he's like a different horse. So my wonderful OH has bought me one for xmas.

Hes that well behaved in it, he gave all the kids on the yard a pony ride today! Amazing! Considering last week he was a tense coiled up stressy mess!!
