hi there

a friend of mine was clearing out his old yard as it used to be run as a livery yard, and came across a couple of saddles, he sold them to me for £50 as he didn't know the value of them, I have pictures of one but need to get pictures of the other, hes a fairly old guy, in his 80's and didn't have anything to do with the livery yard, just used to ride around on his quad from time to time so he was unable to give much insight into what the saddle is, I have had a little look and it does have an adjustable gullet, but has nothing written on it anywhere, looks to be very good quality leather though. I bought it in the hopes it would fit one of my girlfriends 5 horses, but she says it doesn't fit any of them, and because she has no idea what the saddles make is, she cannot buy a suitable gullet.

so any help is appreciated, when I get a picture of the other saddle will post that up too.

we are now going to sell this saddle but we think the other one will be fine for breaking in the youngster, but we have no idea of the rough value of this saddle or even what it is

Can you get a closer pic of the enamel pin?

If no one has ideas on here, then perhaps pop along to your local tame saddler and see if they can offer more info. They could also talk to you about the possibility of adjusting it so it might become more useful to you?

Definitely looks like a Pessoa. No idea whatthey are fetching atm, but as it's a good make it might be worth getting it refurbished and hanging on to it.
