What saddle should I buy?

Had saddler out to try out some dressage saddles. Tried the ideal suzannah and wasn't too sure. Felt far too large. Saddler suggests a roella in a smaller size, but haven't managed to ride in one yet. I have found a 2nd hand one for £750. I have also been offered a Bates Isabell for £850. Saddler thinks the saddle will be a good shape for the horse, but haven't had a sit in one. Both are immaculate condition. The Roella is about £1100 new and the Isabell about £1600 new. What do you think I should go for?

Oh, and do you think those are good 2nd hand prices?

Lots more think a Bates, but no one can give a reason!

I wouldn't buy a saddle that I hadn't sat on or tried on my horse.If, say, the saddler had had one that fitted you and the horse but was the wrong colour or too ££ then nothing wrong with buying same saddle second hand but too risky if you haven't every tried that model on.
