Rescue Centre approx 50 horses/ponies considering hiring a yard manager.
Riding minimal although some horses are rehomed.
Many horses elderly and centre specialises in care of elderly horse.
Good nursing skills
Ability to work with volunteers and good people skills with visitors
What qualifications do you think are appropriate?
What salary?
South East of UK
Been looking through job lists, nothing similar with salary all POA

Blue cross offered £13,500 for grooms in their last ad with no accommodation. I guess manager would be abt £17 - £20G but that could be totally wrong!

Anywhere between £15,000 & £20,000. I would say experience on large yards, knowledge of equine ailments and treatment, BHS stage 4 or equivalent.

I agree - although I would have said between £20 and £25K.

Be lucky to get £25,000 starting salary, even ILPH general Manager post was only offering £18,000 - £22,000 and that's one above yard Manager, and Managers position at busiest riding school in england (100+ horses & 30+ staff) only pay their Manager £14,000 + accom

Really?? I'm really suprised. I suppose, as with anything with horses, it's for love rather than financial gain.
