I was looking at the bits and pieces (gels, wraps, lotions and potions, etc etc etc) in a catalogue yesterday, and I started panicing that we don't have half of that stuff at the yard! There's a pre-made first aid kit in the lorry (bought complete from a vets), but most of the time I don't hae the keys with me when at the yard, plus it only has a few bits and pieces really compared to what was on offer in the catalgoues....

So, the question is, what is in your kits?

Gamgee, vet wrap, non-stick sterile dressings, cotton wool, hibi scrub, poultice, sudo-cream, thermometer, stable bandages, duck tape, bute, quadrisol, scissors, foot dressing, hydogen peroxide. I'm sure I've forgotten something but thats all I can remember.

Animalintex, & vetwrap as well as normal bandages.

Cotton Wool

Sudocreme and Protocon ointment

Teatree oil & aloe vera

A twitch, scisscors & sedative

Hibiscrub & terramycin spray

Think that is all, I do tend to add things that are useful. Things like Rescue Remedy live in there, very useful for panicking owners

I have two first aid kits. A mini one that is in the tack room (to deal with minor cuts and abscesses) and a big one that stays permanently in my car (has more badages etc). I have a very accident prone anglo.

In addition to what has already been mentioned I have:
purple spray
nappies
gloves
plastic bags (various sizes)
ice pack
easy wormer
vet wound powder
dermogel
non-contact plaster
stable bandages and gamgee

Nappies?

...now have all sorts fo images going through my head....

Oooh to add...in mine I have stuff to take a shoe off if its half off/twisted etc in an emergency. Has come in useful on several occasions over the years.
