A field bordering ours has two new liveries moved in about 3 months back.
Both thoroughbred types and until they had shoes on owners just cantered round and round field with not hats on etc.
Now they have shoes on they don't come up at all during the week but dissapear for hours on a ride (5 ish hours) on a saturday then don't come back up to check them at all during the week.
Now they put up electric fencing about 2 -3 weeks ago and haven't been up to see the horses since.
The fence is all trampled into the ground.
Should I leave a note for them asking for a mobile no that we can get in touch with them should anything happen to the horses. I'm just worried in case they get hung up in a fence or something.
Or am I just interefering?
What would you do?

Sounds sensible to me, just be careful that a) they might take offence and say you are interfering b) they take up your offer and take the mick by asking you to look out for their horses all the time.

Good idea. Maybe lie slightly, and say that with the current worries of horses being stolen, you would like to be able to get in touch if you needed to. This might make them check their horses more often (can you tell I am devious!)
