Hi Everyone!

Just a quicky, i've written a letter and printed out some pictures of my Section A to send to her breeder, i've never spoken nor seen etc. this woman but feel she might like to know how a pony she bred is getting on. Although she was willingly sending it for meat but ho hum.
Should I send this letter, it's in an envelope ready but thought i'd see what others thought.
How would you feel getting a random letter through the post from someone you don't know?

Thanksssss x

If it was me, i would be delighted, but the fact that she was sending her for meat probably means that she doesn't really give a stuff what has happened to her.
Maybe she will be pleased though, you just never know.

How do you know she was "willingly sending it for meat" if as you say, you have neither spoken to or seen?

I would just go for it. At worst she doen't care, but you can feel good about what you've done and it may just make her smile that the little foal she bred and thought she had to sell for meat is being looked after by someone.

I say willing, I presume. Poor little mite was put on the back of a meat wagon with many other ponies, two of which also came from the same woman (they were all brought by my old YO and the two sixth month olds were from the same stud).
I've never personally been to a sale but realise many horses go for meat, would you not hang around to see where they've gone? I'd certainly be wondering!
Will pop out and get a stamp and post it then!

The breeder of my horse was thrilled to hear from me when I bought him, as they had lost touch with him.

I'm sure she'll be really pleased to get your letter.

This is the pony in question btw...
From this - when I got her age 1 and 1/2
