Ok got a 14.1hh cob and 12hh welshie, now my cob is in more work then welshie but not by much. The only real differene is i take Cob out to shows every now and then, jumping etc.

They are both living out, ridden 4 to 5 times a week,
Welshie for 20mins
Cob normally gets longer.

They are fairly good doers i would say, not prone to anything.

So i was thinking Alfa A, Baileys Economy mix.

Do you think this would be ok??
Im not sure how much to give any way, there is loads of grass in the field, I've got 10 acres, but they've eaten not even a quarter and the grass is long.

I know ted could do with a bit more energy some times.

I looked on my friends feed list on

http://www.debenvalleyponies.co.uk

And as im ordering through him (mates rates) i need to select something off this massive list of his.

what do you think??

I can't see the feed list, but if they are good doers with plenty of access to good quality grazing, I would be inclined to give them a multi-purpose mineral lick in the field to ensure they get all their mins & vits and leave it at that!

If they start to lose condition, then think about giving them something.....

Or if you want to give them something, some low-sugar chaff and a min & vit supplement should be all they need

I totally agree with pasha. With that much grass available they shouldnt need any hard feed. Use a mineral block nd extra hay in the winter if needed.

Ive got my boy whos a very good doer on Baileys Lo Cal he gets 2 cups a day split into 2 feeds and a 1/4 hi-fi, gives him the energy he needs 2 work without putting on more weight
