I have a loan pony and even though he’s not my first, I’m not sure what to use to clean his tack. I know it sounds stupid but I’m not sure as people have told me different things. I have the naf thellwell tack cleaner but I’m not sure if I need to use anything after that or not. Do I need saddle conditioner or can I just use the tack cleaner? It’s liquid by the way but I don’t want to mess up because it’s not my own tack.

I think perhaps the easiest thing to do is ask the owner. They may have a particular way of treating their tack.

If not there are a few threads about tack cleaning on the forum.
Many people here recommend Oz’s.
Read about it here
and on other threads.

I use either Stubben or Effax. Both smell gorgeous. The Effax was supplied a few years back with my new (expensive brand) saddle and Stubben sell theirs to use on their very expensive saddles, so I figure if it's good enough for them it's good enough for me.

Too many just aren't good for leather, I would either go with what your manufacturer/fitter suggests or , for good solid English leather I'd always recommend Oz's, I sell it from the van for my saddle fitting customers.
How about this one? Rapide

Rapide is an emulsion of mineral oils, water, carnauba wax, (vegetable) and beeswax.

I stick to my advice, as there are no full ingredient lists it's impossible.to know. Use it for your K&M as per my advice to use what is recommended by the maker.

Ask the owner. I like 'good stuff' on my tack but they may not care! It also dpends on the leather
