I want to get out competing low level with my new horse early next year and I am looking to do some showing to get my confidence before starting eventing again . I am unsure weather to do a hunter class or riding horse- he is only 16.1hh so he may be a little small for a MW but his legs are chunky so may be to heavy for a LW . he is 6 yo registered ISH ad a nice mover. I have only really done jumping so i thought I would give it a bash.

Any tips on what people would think is best

his photos are on my page i cant get them onto the thread

Most unaffiliated classes won't be split into weights, so you could get good experience in hunter classes whilst leaving the assessment to the judge.
You could do UA WH classes, which are most usually divided by height, rather than weight. Do remember to jump in hunting style, rather than SJing.
