What showing class?

In terms of coming anywhere, honestly couldn't say from the picture - you can't really judge confo etc from that shot. It would also depend how well you turned him/yourself out, how well schooled he is, what competition was there on the day etc. If you enjoy showing, then have a go at it with him, having fun is what it is all about.

I would say definately.

I can go more in depth as to why and what to work on....if it's ok with you to post it publically?

Ok here we go :)

Basically, not the best photo to work with regarding conformation etc, as the photo is taken from lower down it gives the impression of being slightly flat backed, where he might not be...so if you have a level conformation shot; side front and back....then from a conformation point of view that can be analysed from them :)

From a breed point of view, then asbolutely. The longer extra hair on the tummy and underside signifies that he carries the 'hairy' gene to put it in a simple form lol, which is a huge attribrute and only really seen in the true gypsy types. Which is what any gypsy breeder/judge will take note of and be in favour of.
For his 'boots', they are just lovely. Very silky and straight, coming right from above his knees and hocks which is very very correct for the breed and he has abundance of the stuff which is even more in favour obviously!
And the fact he's a solid colour is even more in favour, as there really are not a huge amount of solids out there and to finally get solids winning [BTW...First ever solid competing in a mixed group for the TGCA won this weekend!! Well done Rockstar!!!!] .
So judging on him from a breed standard, he is very correct.

For things to work on....obviously the mane need working on,if it's been rubbed out like it seems to appear in the photo at the bottom. More hair the better. If it's prone to getting rubbed out, pig oil it up, plait it up and put it in mane bags if need be. Will grow out to full glory in no time.

Other than that...good luck with whatever you decide to do! Hope that's helped a bit. Where abouts are you?

ETA - here's the first solid which went champion in a mixed group this weekend!

Thank you for that honest opinion!! Im in Wolverhampton. I really want to do SOMETHIN with him - just not sure what :) I think hes pretty stunning but I'm bias. I would love to go to a local in hand and see what happens - not sure there are to many near me in a hacking distance

this is a more level pic http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=2760508&l=e2b498b62b&id=651817541

Blinky has given you a good run-down of his correct class, and this is really something you could aim for.

At local shows, however, you may find that there won't be traditional classes for you to enter. If that's the case, you could also do things like family pony, riding club pony and tack and turn out.

Well if any of the local shows near you would want to hold the traditional classes, just get them to email the TGCA and they'll try and sort some classes and qualifiers out no doubt :) It's free affiliation, I *think* if I remember correctly :)
